Sin and Punishment this Friday!

Hell yeah, the Legendary N64 Shooter makes it's way onto the European Wii Shop Channel this Friday!

According to reviews on import game site, this is quoted to be the best N64 game, even over the likes of Zelda: Ocrina of Time. Thing is this game never released outside of Japan and China. The game was meant to come out in the US and EU, but by the time this game came out in Japan in early 2000, the N64 was becoming Old hat and the DreamCast was already out, so an international release of the game got scraped.

The game is a third person on-rails shooter with a simerlar feel to the arcade and SNES game "Wild Guns".

You move a cross hair on the screen and shoot, however you get the freedom to strife to avoid enemy attack. You're gunning down an alien race named the "Ruffians", a violent alien race wanting to conqueur the Earth. But there's Human betraye that leads to suffering and death in an amazing story...

Each character wileds a power gun and a sword, and some boss battles require Zelda style sword play based on deflecting enemies attacks and attacking them when they don't expect it.

Anyways, Enough explianing, if you're in Europe, and have a Wii online. Download this legendary game on Friday!

Man... Me and Nick are sad...

Indeed... Due to Nick's Pokemon fanboyism, I ended up ordering a double pack of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, and he wants me to play Pearl...

The problem I have is that I'm going to be paranoid carrying the ex-mega franchised game of all time and I'm going to look like a fool. LOL. So this Evening I've been playing a little bit of Pokemon Pearl with Nick playing Diamond, and holy crap I remember the tedious amount of text you gotta read at the beginning, not to mention that you start off walking really damn slow like a snail. After 30 mins of snail racing, I finally get to finish the tedious cut scene, get the running shoes and start off the adventure. I just hope that this is as good as people are saying and I hope not to go into a grocery shop with an aisle of Pokemon cereal crap...

Wow....

Yes, I'm starting to blog again after a while of leaving my website under dust. Anyways I discovered that Super Paper Mario isn't coming out in the UK until the 14th of September!!!

WTF! I mean does localising a platformer take that LONG! Seriously... though, I know that there's cutscenes with text in it, but it's not FinalFantasy VII or Animal Crossing text heavy, I mean come on Nintendo, this proves that European localisation sucks big time, I know localising is the worst job EVER in the games industry, but come on... are the translators spending too much time showing off their Language degrees in a Starbucks basement drinking freaking frapechinos and writing a word a day! Do me a favour, Drink real coffee and get off your bloody arses and do some freaking work!!!

What's worse, is another game I've been waiting for, Trauma Center: Second Opinion. Originaly a launch title in the US, will be coming out over here in Augest. WTF again! What's with these Localistion dudes, ok fair enough we got online before the Yanks, but come on... This proves that Localisation is so.... sloppy work Nintendo, Sloppy work...

My story about Wario Ware...

Yeah, so Wario Ware Smooth Moves is out, and has been out since the 12th, yet I got it yesterday; wow shocker! Ian didn't get a game on launch day! Well, it wasn't my fault. the problem is that I did preorder the damn game on gameplay.com and they sent it off, yet I have yet to see it come to my door... Usually I would get games either on the day or even the day before, so how come I haven't received it yet? Well I'm blaming Royal Mail on this because I have contacted Gameplay and they said that they have sent the game out, so this means that Royal Mail has either stolen, lost or destroyed my game without mentioning anything about it. So yesterday I went to town and bought the game because I was so pissed off about the delivery.

Talking about Wario Ware though, it's freaking awesome, and I love it's overly crazy and obscure style. Fantastic game...

Only one?!?!

So yeah... Happy New Year and that crap... lol, a bit late but hey. Anyways as the US and Japan get fairly good VC games for the Wii, VC Friday is now up, and what do we get, Xevious... Why am I complaining, because if you know how many versions of this game I already got you'd think that I'm mad; and before you start having a go at me no I didn't download it, what pissed me off was that I bought some points online just before 11:00 PM (when the VC games get put up) to discover "THERE'S ONLY ONE GAME!" and it's Xevious... great... give me Soldier Blade or Life Force Salamander or something, not a game that I own countless times over already...

Err.... What do you mean no Student Discount!!??

Well, with my Love-Hate realitionship with the GAME Stores. I now have a new hate for GAME, the fact that they can't give 10% Student discounts with the NUS cards for Next Gen games!

Yeah, I went to GAME to grab myself a copy of Rayman Raving Rabbids to discover that GAME now refusing to give Student discounts to 360, Wii and soon to be in a few months time PS3 games! Like WTF, I got a discount when I got my copy of Wii Play IN THE SAME DAMN SHOP!

I was going to bitch about it but concidering there was A LOT of people waiting to buy their games, I didn't want to cause a scene so yeah, I had to pay the full £39.99 price tag; Great...

Not so hot Virtual Console Friday and Internet Channel

Well, Virtual Console Friday is up, and well, it's a bit on the disapointing side...

    NES
  • Donkey Kong Jr.
  • Soccer
  • Tennis

  • TurboGrafix
  • Military Madness

  • MegaDrive
  • Space Harrier II
  • Toe Jam & Earl

BTW, I have played the NES Soccer on Animal Crossing, and well, it SUCKS! Worst Football game EVER! Plus why can't I get the oringal Arcade version of Space Harrier not the crappy MegaDrive choppy sequel! As for Military Madness, I heard that it's an Advance Wars clone that was made for the PC Engine/Turbo Grafix.

Anyways, it's not all doom and gloom. The trail version (the less technical version of "beta") of the Internet Channel is up to download; it's a bit broken but hey it's free. I tried to run Meebo the AJAX IM system and it runs very slow on the Wii; Hopefully this'll get fixed on the final version in March.

So yeah, check the Internet Channel out!
